Dr. Ellen O’Connor,
President, called the meeting to order.
Dr. O’Connor introduced Ellen
Kahane, eInstruction, who distributed clickers to the audience. Engaging students and getting them to pay
attention, participate and interact with teachers and other students has been
shown to help them learn and perform better in both formative and summative
assessments. eInstruction offers a number of user-friendly devices, from
student response systems to interactive whiteboards and hand-held portable
digital tablets to one of the most versatile and most widely used software
programs in the field.
